RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Currently Single
FAMILY STATUS:
Avery was born into a simple English family that did not possess boat loads of money nor were screaming with wealth; instead they led a pretty happy, simple life style getting by on the necessities and the necessities alone. Her parents were a James Bennett and a Claire Morgan-Bennett, where her mother worked as a nurse in one of the local hospitals while her father was on the police force in their quaint home county of Cornwall, England. At the age of two years old, her father was killed in a "blazing fire of bullets", as her mother had often painted the story within the child's mind; this only made the young girl want to be like her father, the heroine of all the stories. However, the story was not as clean cut as her mother had painted, there was a deeper, more drastic side to it all; instead of the hero, James Bennett was the villain. He had murdered a fellow officer of the law, and further evidence revealed that he was a dirty cop... "As dirty as they came." It was suspected that he was working for a notorious gang within the English community. Yet, this was still kept from the growing little girl at the time, especially as both mother and daughter were moved into Witness Protection where Avery was raised under the believe that her name was actually Andrea Brooks, and that her father was a police officer who died heroically.
Unbeknownst to Avery, Claire, her mother, had another child from a former marriage. A boy. He was kept secret from James and Avery for a life time, and it was only until Avery was rummaging through her mother's old stuff that she discovered the letter that had been addressed to her and her late father, explaining it all. The letter read:
To my dearest James and Avery,
I am sorry to have to do this to you both, but I can no longer go on living with the guilt I have been hiding for all these years. The guilt that I was pregnant with another child just before I met the love of my life and my future husband. I was young and stupid, wet behind the ears when I first met him (my lover); I was so infatuated with him that I thought he was going to be my all, yet, the moment I told him that I was pregnant was the moment he packed his bags and left me. I was wrought with anger and despair that the child I bore was just a filthy reminder of him, the man who defiled me. And so, the moment the child was born, I left. I discharged myself and ran away, leaving him there, abandoning him like a thief in the night. I could only hope that he would be placed in the loving care of a real family...
I guess all these years that I have shared with you and my little Avery have shown me the true love of a family. Yes we fight, and we scream, and we shout, but deep down inside, I know that James loves me and I him. So, I started doing some research. His name is Michael Stone, and he lives in America now. I don't know how long, but, I am going there to meet his parents, and to meet him... to tell him that I am sorry for what I have done. I don't know how long I will be gone for, but know that you two are my world and my life, and hopefully, Michael will become a part of it too...
With love,
Claire"
Needless to say, once James had died, Claire never went on her mission to find the lost son. Other than that, her father is still alive, yet she has no knowledge of where he is. To her, he remains dead.
IS THE CHARACTER IN A GANG/LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY/CITIZEN? Citizen
STATE YOUR INDUSTRY AND OCCUPATION:
Avery has fallen into the grips of crime and corruption, but not in a violent manner. Choosing to stay away from unnecessary violence, this young girl has adopted her trade as the "con game", where she demonstrates a preference for fine arts and jewels harbored at pristine museums and within the hoards of multi-millionaire. She is extremely good at what she does, able to disappear within a heart beat if need be; she is like the ghost that cannot be caught, the enigma that evades human sight. And from her spoils, she finds buyers through a few connections, wiping clean all traces of her very existence from any job she has pulled. However, very rarely will she choose to work with more than three people, often preferring the title of "The Lone Wolf" and of course, doing things the way she wants when she wants them.
PERSONALITY:
Avery comes across to most people she meets as a charming, sophisticated young lady with a fine and extensive knowledge that spans over a range of topics, including art and foreign languages, all of which were self-taught the moment she found herself straying onto the streets of London. She seems to embody the very sense of mysticism and mystery, with a touch of the unknown linked to the dynamite personality that so many fall prey to. She is extremely creative, which most probably aids in her cunning schemes to pull the most elaborate "jobs" successfully; and with that, it is often said that the young woman has her head in two different worlds: one that focuses more on the intuitive logical, methodical workings of the realistic and one that leans more toward the zany, unexplored experimental fantasy where logic does not apply and often thinking outside the box is the only link to survival.
Unlike most women shaped around a romantic nature, Avery is fiercely independent and will always shy away from any task presented to her that promises a life of obedience and chains to hold her down. Accompanying her need for freedom and independence, is a deadly combination that provides for a magnetic personality that often entices others to follow her lead, aiding in any scheme she has up her sleeve. This addition is attributed to her "go-getter" personality, providing an upbeat aura about her promising waves of excitement and a never-ending adventure. Of course this is often quite dangerous for those who become her latest victim, but, it also becomes a hazard in her own life as her thrill-seeking not only lands her into a heap of trouble, but it also tosses her from this scenario to the next without a moment's pause to catch her breath. Yet., underneath the excitable nature, a more aggressive presence is noted; while it may not be considered as violent, when confronted with an argument of sorts, there is no doubt the young woman will throw an almost childish temper tantrum, throwing all her toys out of the cot with all rationalization leaving her momentarily. It is often in this state that one may be required to leave the young woman be, leaving her to her own isolation and allowing her some room to cool down.
Despite her sly, cunning nature, Avery is a true friend to those she considers to be more than mere acquaintances of "business partners"; she demonstrates generosity and care for those that have found a special place within her heart, and will always look to protect those she cares about even if there are physical restraints in her path.
She relies mostly on her "gut feeling" and when something doesn't feel right, there is no doubt that she will either hold off on something for a while, or quickly scheme up some manner in which she can either avoid the bad omen, or completely eradicate it from the scenario, without the use of violence of course. And with her gut feeling comes her extreme sense of secretiveness, adding to the illusion of mystery that surrounds her; she rarely trusts anyone, preferring to keep her own personal problems her own instead of sharing them with others. She believes that by relaying information about herself, it will open up vulnerabilities that her enemies may use against her, or produce some sort of error in her working, alerting law enforcement of her activities.
All in all, this con artist is a "people person", oozing confidence that makes it easy to con people, particularly men. She can walk into a room and cause every head to turn in a reaction to her presence; she's what most would call a breath taking beauty with brains to match. And this is how she remains to keep herself, a person that thrives off of attention when the moment is right, yet, can fall into the shadows when needed.

CHARACTER IMAGE(S):
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Avery's appearance is most definitely a helpful factor when it comes to the art of the con, especially if it pertains to a man. She is a pretty thing with dirty blonde hair that complements her sun-kissed flawless complexion. She bears no additional markings on her body, such as tattoos or piercings, keeping her skin clean and unidentifiable. However, her own trademark that she will never go without are her bright red lips and beautifully painted black outlined eyes which simply cause the bluish colored eyes to be accentuated in every which way possible, adding to her allure and mystery.
Her hair is naturally set in a long wavy curl that is easily manipulated into all styles.
UNIQUE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Avery is well adept to blending in with any and all scenarios, and possesses the innate ability to maintain her calm, collected composure even when it looks like the shit is about to hit the fan. With that grace and her quick-thinking mind, Avery has become an ideal candidate of switching between different personas faster than a model changes her clothes during a fashion shoot. She is incredibly suited for handling almost any high-stress situation, approaching it with a methodical head that possesses the ability to switch to an "out of box" thinking mode if any elaborate escapes are required at that very moment in time. She also has an artistic flair to her, able to copy most paintings and sculptures to the T. Her forgeries are almost flawless. However, her art isn't only restricted to copies, but she is also capable of constructing her own mesmerizing works of art, seen mostly in paintings of her lovers that she does when they first "fall in love".
Unbeknownst to many, Avery is extremely skilled when it comes to firearm use; this was due to her repeated exposure when she was a young girl, aspiring to be like her father... The hero. Yet, when she found out the truth, that goal disappeared, and while she was left with that talent, she still shies away from any sense of violence.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Her ability to manipulate words with an extreme skill unmatched by most
+ Her intelligence
+ Her extensive knowledge of languages
+ Her abilities to put on multiple facades that conceal all emotion, and, thus, vulnerabilities.
+ Her unwavering confidence and ability to lie, without even flinching
+ She has an uncanny artistic ability, so much so that she is mostly able to forge many paintings and sculptures. She is also extremely skilled when it comes to forgery, demonstrating a keen eye for detail
- Her defiance of rules and being told what to do
- Her over-inflated ego
- Her childish ways when confronted with negativity, ranging from restrictions to personal conflicts
- Her inability to trust others completely, often hiding multiple traits about herself away from those closest to her.
- Her love of material possessions
WEAPONS:
With her lack of love of violence, Avery tends to shy away from many weapons and often (if it is necessary) would rather resort to using items around her as types of weaponry, whether it be a frying ban or a basket. However, like most women, she does carry a can of pepper spray in her purse, for those pesky men that just can't take no for an answer.
BACKGROUND HISTORY:
Evangeline Hills was linked to the family, a close friend and partner of the guilty James Bennett, arranged the whole charade of the Witness Protection program, moving with them to ensure their safety; there she adopted her own alias: Helen Parker.
As the years pressed on, Avery (Andrea) grew into a beautiful little girl that had a face that could light up the darkest of days; her hair was a dirty blonde that was always messy from her frequent running around. Ashley Parker stayed on to keep a watchful eye over the young girl, helping the mother cope with the dreadful change that was slowly beginning to turn into something that promised positive results. Avery (Andrea) was at the impressionable age where education was key, and so, she started to attend school. Completely captivated by the level of intelligence the young girl of seven displayed, Andrea was easily adored by the teachers, until her intellect and sharp mind started getting her into trouble with each year that passed. According to Evangeline Hills (Helen Parker), Avery (Andrea) had already developed a habit of "conning" people as a young girl of age nine. Often late to school, Andrea attempted to avoid trouble by setting the school clock thirty minutes behind schedule; but the plan was soon thwarted leaving Andrea with only a trip to the principal's office and weeks' worth of detention. Another, more intricate attempt at avoiding the punishment for lateness was made, whereby Andrea tried to barricade the roads in order to reroute the school buses to pass by his house. The plan worked for a few days, giving the young girl the opportunity to sneak onto the bus at a later interval; however, it did not stop there. Later, she got smarter and more delicate with her scheming, to the point where she forged her own bus pass. This seemed to be the ultimate solution to her punctuality problem, and she was never late again, and never once caught out for the brilliant forgery.
"You see, Andrea frequents the pool hall on the way home from school," Helen explained to the woeful mother who was distraught by the constant school visits and sittings in the principal's office. "She's got a quick mind that girl. No doubt she learnt those tricks from the hustlers in that pool hall." The two old ducks never found out about Avery's true gift of forgery.
At the age of eighteen, the world Andrea once knew came crashing down all around her. Her mother, a woman who lived an honest life and carried on living beneath a strict adherence to the laws, died at the age of sixty years old, three days before her sixtieth birthday. Her dream was to retire at sixty and watch her girl blossom into a beautiful young lady, ironic isn't it? When her mother died, Andrea was left alone in the world with only "Auntie Helen" to hold her hand through the rough patches, and soon the time came when she would learn the truth about her father and the real reason why he vanished from her life. Helen explained everything to the adolescent; she recalled the details as if they had happened yesterday. Andrea found out that he was still alive but was not the hero that he had been made out to be to appease the curious mind of a little girl; with that, all respect of the law and social standing vanished from her being. He murdered a fellow cop, only to have stacks of evidence discovered that revealed him to be a corrupt police officer who had ties to one of the larger, upcoming gangs to spread through England. How could a criminal be allowed to live, while her mother, who performed so many good deeds in her life, was dead? It made no sense to her. Her thirst to pursue law enforcement as inspiration from her father faded, and it can be said that this was the true turning point in her life that pushed her forward into a life of crime. Once she had discovered the true story, Andrea discarded her given name and reclaimed her biological name, adopting her mother's maiden name: Morgan; with that, Avery up and left, running away from the chaos that provoked change in her life. She ran away from home, just before she was going to graduate from high school; she did not attend college, albeit she has constructed three MBAs and two doctorate degrees. Her intelligence can be attributed more towards self-education, especially in the fields of art and history, where she shows her greatest interests, especially since this is her prime target when it comes to the con game.
While Avery is still skilled in the use of guns, she prefers to stay away from the firearms showing a great distaste towards them in general.
She began her early career of crime within her homelands of England, moving between cities and stirring up a storm; it was there that she was noticed by a group of con artists who witnessed her con a man out of £800.00, and later approached her to perform a long con which took approximately six months to complete, where their target was a CEO with the name of William Addison. For these six months, Avery took on a position within the company, working beneath the department of financial management. Needless to say, it was a successful job well done, which scored the gang a pretty penny, and the group celebrated around a table with bubbling champagne. It was there that she heard the wisest words that one could ever say to her. They were from the so-called "leader" of this band of thieves, a Neal Halden. He told her: "Never cheat an honest man. Not because they should not be cheated, but because the greedy and dishonest people are less likely to over-analyze anything that would make them even more rich." And, there was truth in his words...
Not long after, Avery found herself falling in love with a young con artist who had joined in their company. At first it started with the witty remarks and snide comments, before things finally moved along to the coy phase. Before long, the two were hand in hand, planning their love nest; she planned their whole life ahead of them. By now, they had broken away from the gang and moved onto their own, pulling cons as a duo. They were going to pull one more large con that was going to seal their futures in riches beyond all imagination; they were going for one last big score. A large art exhibit was to take place, showing old paintings that marked each of the eras of the art world, ranging from impressionism to abstract pop art. Avery used her skills to replicate each painting while her partner, Harry Tolbard, would stand as a museum security officer just transferred for this big exhibition. Needless to say they pulled it off after a few long months; however, instead of receiving the millions expected, Avery received nothing more than a broken heart. The morning after the great success, she woke up to an empty bed and an empty case. All the money was gone along with Harry. She was conned. Furious and grief-stricken at the same time, Avery left England, moving to America where she had hoped to find a little something more. She was broken, like a mirror fallen to the floor, shattered into a thousand pieces.
Avery's appearance is most definitely a helpful factor when it comes to the art of the con, especially if it pertains to a man. She is a pretty thing with dirty blonde hair that complements her sun-kissed flawless complexion.
After landing, Avery went right back to where she started; used to living a life of luxury she started to work her way through America, targeting the fine arts and famous jewels that would more than certainly fetch her a pretty penny. And as she worked, unbeknownst to her, so she became the faceless enigma that caught the FBI White Collar Crime Division's eye. Yet, she always left no trace of herself, or enough to let them follow her footsteps. Cupid was to fire his arrow once again, this time toward a bright-eyed young man. At the time, she was planning a switch at the museum where she had taken on the alias "Michelle Stone" a museum curator that knew almost everything about what was on display. Not wanting the moment to end, Avery carried on with this charade falling deeper and deeper into his clutches. His name was Jasper, Jasper Lachlan Hugh, and he was a math teacher at some boys' boarding school. A total bore, yet a dependable bore. They shared memories together, beautiful picturesque moments, and at that point of her life, she had never been so happy. She had even considered leaving her life of crime to find something more secure so that she could share that moment with him for a life time. Yet, she had to do this one big score. Her going away present to herself, so to speak. With a mind clouded by emotion, she was careless, and led astray in her attempts to lead this double life; eventually the FBI caught wind and the relationship came crumbling around her heels, regardless of how she tried to fix it with empty promises of a new life. The situation was desperate, they were closing in. She wanted to stay and repair what was done, but she couldn't... She had to run. And so, with only a note to say her goodbyes, Avery vanished like the ghost that she was.
