Full Name Serena Nicole Avian
Alias: Most people don’t give her nicknames, but Travis calls her Rena or Ray and lately she feels like her name is “Finn’s mom”.
Personal Creed: You’ve made your bed, now lie in it.
Gender: Female
Age: Just turned 18.
Orientation: Straight
Relationship Status: A single mother of one.
Family Status: Mother- Theresa Avian - Deceased
Father- Jackson Avian – Alive – 43
Son- Miles Theo Avian - Alive – Almost three now.
Is the Character in a Gang/Law Enforcement Agency/ Citizen: Citizen
State your Industry and Occupation: She works as a cashier in the local supermarket.
Personality: Serena had always been the life of the party, a vibrant personality and social butterfly who managed to get along with anyone if she just wanted it enough. Before getting Miles, she had been irresponsible and wild, her parents unable to control her as she lived life to its fullest, going through her day almost blue-eyed.
But falling pregnant at 15 was something that changed you, since by the time she allowed the realization to hit her that she was pregnant it was too late for an abortion, she could only go forward. Thankfully her parents supported her fully and a small group of friends also remained loyal by her side, even as she refused to tell anyone who the father was.
Now after dropping out of school to work a job and raise her son, she moved to Hawaii a different person. Filled with love for her son, she’s still a social butterfly who’s good with people, but she dropped her blue-eyed innocence and erratic lifestyle, blooming in her new role.
Fiercely protective over her son and short tempered when it comes to critic, she has built herself a tougher skin to protect her pride and believes, plenty of people feeling like they could butt into her life and choices, since she was practically a child herself.
Good natured with a flirty nature and teasing sense of humor, Serena prides herself in being so independent, though she really wouldn’t mind a little help at times, especially since she would like to finish school some day, not willing to end up as a crummy cashier for the rest of her life.
Physical Description: When standing straight, Serena is a good 5 feet and eight inches, weighing around 67 kg. She’s a bit sensitive about her appearance, her slim figure with the stretchmarks on her stomach and breasts, not finding the time and energy to visit a gym on top of everything that she has to do. To make up for the lack of working out, she watches what she eats, cooking healthy for herself and her son and playing outside with him as often as she can, taking him for long walks.
She dyes her long, thick hair blonde though more often than not, you can see her brunette colors peeking through at the roots, matching her warm brown eyes that sparkle life and reflect a lot of her emotions easily. Her eyes are framed by long, dark lashes.
Generally her features are slender, her nose long and straight and arching eyebrows. Noticeable is a birthmark next to the bridge of her nose.
More often than not she’s seen with shadows under her eyes lately, which she tries to overcompensate by dressing in a way that looks far too expensive for her lifestyle and situation.
She prides herself over her long legs and thick hair.

Background History: Serena was born and raised in LA, a total dream child after her parents had tried getting pregnant after a doctor told them that there was a low count of sperm from the father. So when a totally healthy baby girl was born, her parents were over-joyed, happy to finally have a picture book perfect family.
She grew up fine, a happy girl who talked too much and was too trusting, but her guardian angel took care. In school things got a little rocky, the dreamer too occupied with other things to want to study or learn, struggling with her grades even with tutoring and her parent’s full support.
With twelve her father got a better job offer in Chicago and they moved there within a month. Serena took the change pretty well, soothed by the promise of there being new children in Chicago and possibly a family dog too.
That’s where she met Travis for the first time, in school on one of the rare days where he wasn’t skipping or off making teachers sigh with frustration. She didn’t approach him that day, but over the time a strange type of friendship formed and a few times she joined him on “adventures”, him being a horrible influence on her, according to her parents. But in Serena’s opinion he was great, she could really be herself around him and she loved that.
It could have gone on like that forever, but fate had other plans. One evening, Serena had just turned 15, Travis had called her, pissed and totally upset. He had talked about how his family was forcing him to move to Hawaii really freaking soon. Devastated the two of them met to comfort each other and one thing lead to the other and that night, the night before he left, she lost her best friend and gained a little clump of cells.
She didn’t take the missed period very seriously, took no note of the terrible feeling of sickness and general grumpy soreness and when the idea did creep up on her, she pushed it away viciously. It had been once that she had done it unprotected, she was 15, that wasn’t possible.
Turns out though, it was very possible and after she told her parents who were pissed at first, shouting and yelling about filing a lawsuit, things progressed quickly. Throughout the pregnancy she never told a soul about Travis being the father and didn’t contact him either, his antics and dangerous behavior still vivid in her mind and she didn’t want that for her baby, wanted her son to be safe. So she turned her own life upside down, dropping out of school and getting a job to earn some money to support herself, not wanting her parents to pay for everything.
Travis came by a few times over the years, only a day or two and during that time she pretended that Miles had never been born and she was still in school, faking her way through their shared time.
At least until with nearly 18 she found out that Travis had down also apparently grown up and when she turned 18 she grabbed her two year old, kissed her parents good-bye and made her way to Hawaii, hoping to start something new and possibly hoping for some support and the father figure that Miles desperately needed.
