full name Arielle Bianca Newton
alias: Ari (Nickname)
personal creed:
"He took everything from me. I'm broken, damaged bruised. But I will return the favour. I always do. An eye for an eye, and pray you don't get caught."
gender: Female
age: 26
orientation: Straight
relationship status: Recently Widowed
family status:
Her family is presumably all dead.
is the character in a gang/law enforcement agency/ citizen: Citizen
state your industry and occupation:
Arielle is currently between jobs at the moment.
personality:
Arielle is a complex myriad of emotions and general personalities; while she may not be considered as bipolar or schizophrenic, she does experience a variety of transitions between anger and nostalgic melancholy. This is most likely due to the horrendous nightmarish past she has had to endure, including being the subject of interest to a psychotic serial killer who saw her life as a role in his own story. With the death of her fiancé, Arielle has found no comfort in another human being, finding herself almost dead inside; with that she rarely experiences true joy and happiness, she rarely finds herself radiating with merriment, and has, thus, developed a more serious, distrusting demeanor that remains skeptical, cynical, and, above all, bitterly resentful. Yet, her inner turmoil is masked by another visage, a mask that is pulled upon her face so few can truly bear witness to the pain that was once caused: to the casual eye, Arielle often puts on a brave face that is insightful and evenly tempered. While sarcasm is still alive within her voice, and a smile rarer than the black rose, she seems more approachable even though she may be silently dying inside.
With that being said, there is no doubt that this young woman was good at her job; she has a powerful mind hungry for information. She is quick with deductions upon looking upon a crime scene and has spent her time of retirement from the force with the experts of micro-expressions, enhancing all knowledge that she had within her field. This has allowed her to become one of the best profilers and behavioral scientists in the country for her age, and with this inflation of intelligence, comes an inflation of her ego...

physical description:
A raw, natural beauty follows the brilliant mind of this former first class detective of the FBI. She possesses long brown hair that has a natural fleck of reddish copper running through the waves of her locks that often come to rest in loose curls that tickle her back along the back strap of her bra. Her features are prominent and defining, with plump kissable lips of passion tinted the paleness of a rose's kiss, which contrasts with her dark hair and usually dark eye shadow that helps enhance perfect blue hues that often gleam a gorgeous silver shade when exposed to the natural light of day.
Perhaps one of her most notable physical features is the large tattoo that runs from just below her pants' line, near her groin, and extends upward upon her right side, ending just below her breast. The tattoo demonstrates a black rose tinted with shades of pink and red with vines of bright red and pink extending upward in a complex, interlinked pattern.
As for physical flaws, Arielle has had the misfortune of encountering multiple situations that have left her body scarred; the largest of all, perhaps, remains to be the scar hidden on the back of her left thigh from where a blade penetrated so deep that it severed her ham string, only to be surgically repaired. Unfortunately, the skin has not yet mended appropriately leaving a horrendous scar to taint the view of the "modelesque" figure; in combination to that, Arielle also possesses a small scar hovering over her right kidney, once again, a reminder from her old friend: "the tooth fairy".
unique skills and abilities:
Arielle Newton, ex special agent of the FBI was, perhaps, the youngest officer of law enforcement to bring down one of the biggest names in the homicide world, even if it did cost her dearly. At the expense of her fiancé, and a few additions of her former life, Arielle was able to send the notorious Joeseph "Tooth Fairy" Kent to prison where he is left serving a life of imprisonment for the dozens of murders and rapes he has committed. With that she earned the greatest promotion of her career, yet, she was left traumatized and ignored the life of the FBI agent to find something calmer and less stressful, taking on an early retirement from the one thing she truly enjoyed doing.
strengths/advantages
Arielle is a strong independent individual who knows how to mask her emotions deceptively well; she possess a swift processing mind that looks at not only the rational but also the irrational. She is able to assess a situation with hypersensitive observational skills and an eidetic memory that enables her to quickly put two pieces of a puzzle together, making her a great asset to have.
weaknesses/disadvantages
Arielle has been forced to undergo dozens of changes in her life brought about by the unfortunate events of being assigned her first important case as a special agent; with a death of those whom she held dear, a mild form of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has settled upon the now academic, making her considerably skittish around those whose expressions she is not able to read and fully comprehend in the short frame of time that her mind conducts this in depth deduction. To counteract the timid nature she sometimes feels, Arielle will portray an arrogance that usually pushes many away, making her unsociable and isolated with no one to truly push past the fraying threads of her past to show her that there is a new way of life waiting for her. Her skepticism and distrust in others will lead to her downfall yet again, as her arrogance and thirst for independence and to prove herself had those few months ago when she was forced to engage in the deadly cat and mouse game.
Arielle also received a terrible wound during one of the confrontations with this dreaded killer; a knife severed her ham string and disabled her momentarily. Months later, her rehabilitation therapy is still under way and she is slowly regaining more and more movement of her leg, although it is still reasonably limited, forcing her to walk with a slight limp due to the gnawing constant dull pain.
weapons:
Arielle does not physically carry a weapon with her any longer, unless a can of pepper spray maybe considered a weapon. Instead, she stores her service weapon at home in the hopes that she will never have to use it again. In addition to this, Arielle also holds a simple swiss army knife that she hides within her bag.
background information:
Education:
Arielle had the standard education that most children received. Her parents were denied the luxury of a lavish living which adversely impacted her, yet, not in such a terrible shameless manner for the only disadvantage she may have had, growing up, was having to attend a public school, and even that was not all as bad as one may have thought. She continued to stay within the public education scope as she moved between foster homes.
She eventually graduated and enlisted in the police academy where she demonstrated a high intuition regarding "solving cases" and looking deeper into the mind of the criminal. Many thought that this was due to her traumatic past; yet, to Arielle, she just saw it as another flaw for it gave her nightmares, nightmares of the terrors that some people were capable of committing. Yet, once again, she graduated top of her class and after serving some time in the NYPD, was eventually recruited into the FBI.
Family History
Arielle was not a princess of luxury, nor did she ever enjoy the privileges other kids seem to have. Instead, she was born into a middle class family that consisted of a school teacher and an honorable police officer, and a younger brother whom she grew very close to within the few years that they were together. However, tragedy struck the moment her father was put onto a dangerous case that involved a notorious gang of drug addicts and murderers. This was the first taste she had of the cruelties of people, this was when the innocence of her childhood was stripped from her for with the discovering of a new piece of evidence actually viable in the court, Arielle's father, Sean, found a secret that was worth killing for. A chain of dirty cops were present in the department, ridding the scenes of evidence to preserve the identities and lives of the criminals at hand. With this piece of evidence, the case was cracked wide open, and clearly someone did not like this, for one night, a staged robbery was to occur in which the victims were to "accidentally be woken up" and "killed" due to shock. Arielle witnessed the fall of her father, her mother, and her little brother, leaving her an orphan in the cruel world that was no longer the paradise painted in fairy tale books.
With that, the welfare took her away, sending her to a foster home where she grew up one of many children. The foster home was not at all bad, but it lacked the tender care and attention that a real family held. This was possibly the sole motivation for joining the force ... Revenge and the prevention of any other mishaps.
Work History
Arielle's sharp mind and intellect soon saw her rise to the status of an FBI agent, where she worked closely with the narcotics squad as well as the homicide team; here, she aided in the capture of multiple killers and drug lords, giving her a good reputation within the force of agents, not to mention her young age at the time. With that being said, there was one case, in particular, that made and broke her career - so to speak. With that hungry mind and thirst for conviction, Arielle pushed for the "Tooth Fairy" killer case and eventually, after large amounts of pleading, she got it where she was lead agent during the investigation. However, this proved to be the most difficult case yet as the individual was virtually unable to be caught no matter how much he flaunted himself to the FBI, sending multiple sources of media that showed crimes in action, what happened in the past, and what was to happen in the future. Thrilled by Arielle's ambition, passion, and intellect, Joeseph Kent took a greater interest in the young woman, often phoning her randomly and toying with her mind, eventually capturing and killing her fiancé right before they burst into the room. Unable to control herself, Arielle sent a volley of bullets flying into the air, enough to wound the notorious killer but not enough to kill him.
With that trauma, she left the world law enforcement and went on a downward spiral that involved sex, drugs, and alcohol, until eventually sorting her life out and gaining a job at the local university. Yet, she is still often pestered to consult on the more difficult cases, even though she constantly declines the FBI's offers. In order to escape the constant pestering of the federal agents in New York, Arielle moved to Hawaii hoping to start life afresh.
