FULL NAME: Hailey Anne Stone
BASE NAME: Ashlee Simpson
ALIAS:
With an online life, comes a variety of names. Her most used gaming identity, one that most have come to associate her with, is Nova. Often she has also assumed additional names such as Artemis, Luna, and Star, names commonly associated with her interests in the night, the hunt, and Greek Mythology.
To those that know her outside of her online community, Hailey is simply referred to by her first name or Hails. Her teachers often address her as Ms. Stone.
PERSONAL CREED:
"One way to forget about pain is to do something you will be in, completely.... So, computer games."
"When the game is going full retard, you can only go with it. If you start going against it, if you start going half retard, you're fucking done for."
"All the people who knock me down, only inspire me to do better."
"I'm not just playing because I'm addicted. There's a goal, a motive, that I can reach out and grab if I'm good enough."
"Because I'm beautifully broken, and I don't care if I show it."
GENDER: Female
AGE: 17
ORIENTATION: Straight
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single
FAMILY STATUS:
Once a true gem in her parents' eyes, pressure seems to have urged this intelligent young girl toward a different lifestyle, one that shies away from the adoration of society. Remaining daddy's little princess, due to her vocal talents, Hailey has an unmistakably strong bond with her father, one that her mother often seems jealous about as she favors Ethan's outgoing, sporty behaviour over the punky nature that Hailey has adopted.
"Why can't you just walk around in a blouse and skirt sometimes?" Her mother often whines to her when she sees the young girl traipsing about in baggy pants equipped with a studded belt and black t-shirt. However, all in all, it cannot be denied that Hailey has received some foundational support in her life from her parents.
The relationship that the Stone siblings share is something quite unique in itself. Outwardly, Ethan shows little regard toward his little sister, being pulled to the other extremes of a wealthy society that dictates where his goals and ambitions should lie. The two could not seem ever more different. Ethan - the popular jock; Hailey - the introverted punk kid. However, blood is thicker than water and should disaster truly strike, they will come to each other's aid like all family should.
IS THE CHARACTER IN A GANG/LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY/CITIZEN:

STATE YOUR INDUSTRY AND OCCUPATION
She is currently a scholar at the Pearl City High School. Part-time she sings at the local pubs and school functions.

PERSONALITY:
Hailey is an ambiguous individual; technically the sharp, snarky young girl should join the tables of cheer leaders and the high school privileged, yet, she prefers a different lifestyle, one that shies away from the dramas of high school life. Choosing only a select few individuals, mainly the boys who are a part of her band and gaming team, this talented musician is always quick with the quips when confronted with one of the "barbies" of the school. She can be an "up in your face" sort of person if the scene calls for it, and will usually always look for a way to mess with the 'plastics' of the school, whether intentional or not. Hailey is a real guys' girl; in other words, majority of her friends are boys, individuals that she does not feel shy around and can actually let loose instead of feeling the judging eyes of others upon her. With her snarky attitude and her little punk look, it makes the young girl extremely desirable yet, she simply shrugs this factor off and pretends like nothing ever happened; she can be excessively flirtatious if pushed to be. In other words, should she be confronted by one of the 'plastics', there's no doubt that she knows what buttons to push if need be. This often results in a lot of animosity aimed towards her by other girls within her school.
Hailey is an ambitious young woman who has not allowed her past of privilege halt her thirst to acquire a sense of self-sustenance. Being the true gem within her parents' eyes, Hailey Stone is permitted some sense of freedom and independence, using it to complete small objectives she has set herself for the day, whether it be a study session in the library or starting up a little project regarding computing work in her high school. Attempting to keep an overactive mind at bay is a daunting task, which often results in the young girl taking on far more than she can chew at the time; this often leads to her rushing through the halls as she goes from class to class, only to finally find her arms curled beneath her acting as an enjoyable pillow to rest her weary head.
However, there are few that can actually claim they have unlocked the secrets of Hailey's personal mystery; even her own brother is more of a stranger to her than some would think. She keeps to herself, she hides her emotions, constantly wearing a mask that displays a carefree, snarky, smart teenager whom has little worry for the trials most adolescents her age face. Emotions are guarded with quick, witty responses by a sharp whip of a tongue. Never will she allow another human being to get close to her, to discover the real vulnerable personality she possesses, especially in this dog eat dog world that high schools have become. With that being said, she chooses to spend her lunches away from the 'popular' tables where teens discuss trivial topics of lip gloss, cheer leading, and ... boys, find these topics all too drab and unexciting.
Yet beneath her self-isolated exterior, Hailey Stone is somewhat a trouble magnet. Whether it be an indirect correlation to her brother, Ethan Stone - major jock and quarterback in the school's famous Pearly Stallions - or her own curiosity, but often enough she finds herself within the principal's office with another excuse at hand.
"I just wanted to have a look at the security frame system we were using."
Other than that, most find her exceptionally intimidating, often mocking her for her quips and sharp jabs of words. Even her brother jumps on this band wagon on as many occasions as he can.
"Make anyone cry today, nerd?"
"Sadly, no, but it's only lunch..."
She may also come across as blatantly honest, refuse to hide facts of truth behind some little farce intended to make the opposing party feel better.
Ultimately, the stone barrier surrounding her heart is like a fortified fortress that is practically unbreakable, guarded by an army of fire breathing hounds. It takes a lot of insulting and mockery to actually provoke a reaction other than sheer loathing from her; and even if those words as sharp as spears were to crack through her barrier, she would always refuse to break down in front of another person, part of her moral code. "They will never see me falter."
And yet, beneath the layers of intelligence and sarcastic remarks, a real party girl lingers. She would be lying out right if she refused the fact that she actually enjoyed when her brother invited the entire school over to enjoy a party of a win on the football field; minus the drunk idiots, she finds herself quite drawn to the music and the cheery atmosphere, which often finds her creeping from her room to interact with the 'dim witted' plebs of the high school. A cup or two of alcohol, and the snarky teenager actually begins to smile and take part in the frivolous activities. She can be fun when she wants to be, bear in mind, this is on a completely rare occasion.

CHARACTER IMAGE(S):
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Hailey goes through various periods of style in her life, ranging from the grungy unkempt look to the groomed punk princess. Her hair experiences the same kind of changes, often alternating between a raven black shade to a bright platinum blonde that is often styled in an either straight manner or left to unveil the natural loose ringlets that fall upon her shoulders. Either shade usually compliments bright sapphire blue eyes that always seem to shimmer with mystery and intrigue whenever gazed upon.
In stature, Hailey is a slender petite girl who is just a few centimeters shorter than the average heighted girl, making her seem all the more adorable in some ways. Her body is decently toned from the few hours of exercise she performs once a day, whether it is a quick walk around the block with the dogs or a proper session at the gym. Her skin demonstrates a slight pallor to it, demonstrating her British roots.
Hailey's family originally hail from England, giving the quirky, snarky young adolescent a slight British accent that shines through each of her words; yet has dulled down after the few years spent on the islands of Hawaii.
UNIQUE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Hailey is something of a computer whizz, with an arsenal of knowledge that extends far beyond what they teach in high schools these days.
* She has a wonderfully husky, unusual singing voice. She is also musically attuned and able to play a variety of instruments, ranging from the violin to the electric guitar.
* She is a "math-lete", in other words, Maths is her subject of preference, and one that she excels in.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ She is intelligent for her age, currently one of the school's top academic performers of the year
+ She has a knack for all things mechanical, ranging from computers to robotics
+ She is a wicked online gamer, able to best quite a few of her male counterparts in games ranging from MOBAs to FPS's
+ She is strong willed and independent, and is not easily persuaded to act against her own beliefs
+ She is a well-versed 'story teller', in other words, she is great at fabricating believable lies to escape any form of trouble she might have stepped into.
+ She has a strong husky voice that can be manipulated to hit some key notes for singing.
+ She is also able to play the guitar, violin, and piano, traits her parents encouraged when she was a child.
- She can be quite persnickety when she's feeling cornered or pressured by the more 'popular' scene her brother hangs around
- She seems to play out the lone wolf scenario pretty well.
- She's hot headed and can sometimes use the most 'colorful' language when in a heated argument
- She has a sharp, snippy tongue and often struggles to keep her comments to herself, which often lands her in some trouble with the wrong crowds
- She's heavily sarcastic when she wants to be

WEAPONS:
The only thing close to a weapon she has is a can of pepper spray disguised cleverly as a lipstick tube and a stun gun.
BACKGROUND HISTORY:
It's always hard, fitting into a lifestyle you feel you don't belong in. I mean, don't get me wrong, I live a privileged life and I am eternally grateful for everything my parents have done for me; but, regardless of the fame and fortune, there still seems to be that little something missing. Perhaps its affection from my eldest brother? Perhaps it's just a longing to fit in somewhere other than among machines? I truly have no idea, but I guess I'll let you all make of my life what you will... Here's a look into solving my puzzle...
The Beginning Stages
I guess I could be boring and start telling you all about my birth into this world, and how my parents were so happy to have a little princess in their arms; but that story is more of a cliché than I would like to admit. I suppose my only real excitement at birth was my taste of death; you see, I was born with my umbilical cord around my throat. I did not scream. I did not cry. It took multiple smacks from the doctor to even stir an eye flutter before tubes and wires were pushed into my tiny body. But I made it out okay, didn't I?
Welcome to my World
You could say that, while growing up, we were considered the privileged few of the world. My father was big in the music industry, a producer that started singing out of his garage with a few friends, only to end up in the big world with the big fish. He was a wanted man, sought after for his genius that helped sell millions of albums world-wide. I guess that explains where our wealth came from; good hard work, as he would like to call it. My mother, well she used to be a dancer. You know, those ones that twirl about in fancy costumes on the ball room floor? She gave it all up when she met my father, and instead used her time to teach others rather than do... Let's just say, right now, she's an expert in shopping and spending money. Trying to get me to be more like those cheer leaders with their micro skirts and half-tops that show far too much skin than welcomed.
But, other than that, it was pretty much dull. We got what we wanted, when we wanted it. We were spoilt. And, well, we didn't know what it was like to live life working hard; the fast lane is where we were perched. We're not here to talk about that, because there's not much to talk about other than my family was... okay. In a sense. Sure, we kept secrets from each other... but who doesn't?
Let's rather go towards my more, unsavory years at school. When I first started out, everyone wanted to be my friend. I had money, I was cute, and I had a 'hot' older brother that all the girls wanted to date. At first, I played along with this little farce; I had friends coming out my ears, they were so plentiful. And yet, it always felt as if it there was a scandal waiting to happen... I felt like I could never truly show them my talents, the real me, and so, I hid... I hid behind that mask of wanting to fit it... Until two years ago. That's when things got hard.
You see, I was the mother-fucking princess at a stage. I sat at the table with the seniors, with my brother; but unfortunately it seems that everyone wants that fucking crown and of course there's always a villain in the stories. Her name was Amber Birches, a real little bitch that took lead of the cheer leading squad. At first her and I were friends, so called friends, that is. But then, at one party, her little crush decided that I would make better conversation - that's when I truly got to see the claws and fangs that a girl possessed... She ripped into me as if I was nothing but a deer sacrificed to a starving tiger. It started with the quite obvious dirty glances, at this party, before she took me aside and decided to threaten me with her own vicious words. Naturally I wouldn't take things lying down. I mean, I had never really had much to be scared about back then... But clearly, girls bring a whole new meaning to the word 'bitchy'... Not only did she make me look like an idiot in front of this guy, Brandon Stiles, but she ended up ridiculing me in front of the entire congregation at the God forsaken party. Rumours, nasty rumours, spread across the school like a wild fire, ranging from the title of being the school 'slut' to being the broken adopted little sister that my family felt pity for. But hey, I let people believe what they wanted, because I just didn't have the energy any more. Let's just say, it got rid of all those excess 'friends' of mine...
Needless to say that after that, my life changed dramatically. I found solace in other activities, activities that didn't require me to be quite as social. So... Computer games happened. And with the start of a new year, I met a group of guys that became more like additional brothers. They could play instruments, so we started a little something to keep us busy and ever since then, well, we've been inseparable. And I've been in combat with royal bitch face ever since.
And now... she has her eye on my brother...
