His loyalty is strong, but mostly to one person. One would call Tate responsible and rational most times. Not extremely close to his little brother due to his past, but he's trying to make it up to him. Is always trying to reason with people to get them to see it his way. Not one for violence if he can avoid it, but will do what he needs to. Extremely self sacrificing for the ones he cares for. Tate knows when to let things go and when he should push. Is known to keep secrets but only if he feels it isn't detrimental to their safety, but is otherwise very trustworthy. Does drink but not much, since he usually ends up being the responsible one.

Background History:
When Tate was seventeen he'd already hacked into his highschools system, changing grades, and anything else that suited his needs. He didn't keep his self taught talent too much of a secret and it landed him in a lot of trouble. However, Tate was young and stupid and he tried to hack the Chimera City Bank. After successfully cracking their firewalls and disarming their security systems, he found himself in jail once again. Now, Tate didn't do it to steal money, no, he had no intention of robbing it. Just wanted to test his abilities, take it to the next level, see what he could do. However, it landed him in trouble and a prison sentence that would take away most of his young adulthood.
Sitting in prison, he received a visitor. He figured it was his parents, ready to lecture him once again. His fathers disowning look piercing his soul. But he didn't recognize the man standing before him. This man, Christov, promised to bail him out, under the condition he'd perfect his skills, and put them to use toward something more meaningful. Of course, it seemed like a dream come true. Til he was in the vehicle. The man he was sitting next to in the back revealed a needle, plunging it into his neck and pushing the plunger. Everything went black for Tate. When he woke, he was in an office. The office of the man who busted him out. He had promised everything he had said before, but there were a few 'conditions'.
He was never to see his family again. At first he was adamant, worried for his little brother, his mother. However, that quickly changed when he saw what his 'team members' were capable of. He'd been tricked into joining a secret agency that trained assassins to murder at the flick of a tongue. Tate had gotten himself in deeper than he'd expected, but it was too late. He was indebted to this man, and his family's life hung in the balance. Years would pass and he'd do this mans bidding, til he helped a few Elites named Lane and Elexus take the man down. He got out after that. Leaving behind the life he knew. At twenty two he was out in the world again. However, he never looked for his family again. What if he'd put them in danger again? What if they'd accepted he was gone, and moved on? He couldn't put that kind of pressure on their shoulders.
Instead he chose to start a new life. However, it wasn't until he ran into Shiloh in Paris at the age of twenty six did he ever think of going to Hawaii. One last mission he said. As much as Tate was glad he was out, the thought of a mission had brought some life back into his eyes, and he gladly fled France to the sunny shores of Hawaii, where he would start a new life, following his team mate and best friend into a new chapter of their lives.
