Not a single cloud covered the pale blue sky, still decorated by the few remaining shades of orange and red that lingered from the sun as it climbed over the horizon. The sea was calm other than a few small waves that rocked the small yacht as it cut through the water’s surface, heading ever deeper into the open waters. The sound of 80’s rock played loudly through the speakers, hushing the sound of the engine while a young woman’s voice sung along to the Pink Floyd song that was currently playing. A sender frame of olive skin stood at the helm of the small yacht, feeling the ocean breeze cutting through her light brown locks that where held back in a high ponytail with a simple ribbon, allowing the loose locks of hair to fly about with the wind. Enchanting hazel eyes were hidden behind large sun glasses that sat atop her nose, plump lips curved into a wide smile decorated by small dimples in her cheeks and perfect pear white teeth. Her well toned frame was covered only by a white bikini that hugged her body perfectly and a thin layer of sun screen that protected her ivory skin from the harsh sun.
Glancing down at the navigation system, Amber’s smile only widened as she neared her destination, and within a few minutes the distant green mountain came into view, moments before the remainder of the small island showed its face. The view was utterly astonishing, the distant palm trees and white sands that appeared to hold the island together. Amber’s heart beat faster as excitement and adrenaline bubbled in her veins. Having been working everyday for the last 10 days without a break, Amber told the company that she just needed a break. So having packed away the new scuba diving gear she bought, Amber headed for her favourite diving place; a little reef by one of the islands. It had been nearly a month since the last time the woman had gone out this way. Slowing the small yacht to a stop, Amber set down her anchor and began preparing. Putting up flags to notify any other passer bys that a diver was below, Amber began putting on her gear. A wide mask that covered her eyes and nose with a mouth piece that now decorated her face, the buoyancy compensator with the air tank and dive computer, regulator and pressure gage sat neatly around her waist and on her back while a custom set of fins decorated her feet. Waking to the edge of the boat, not seeming bothered by the fins that most get annoyed by; Amber turned her back to the ocean water and jumped in.
The coo water felt amazing against her warm skin as her sender body sunk into the water, watching the bubbles form around her and mask the boat from her momentarily view. But Amber didn’t seem to mind as she expertly spun around and began her descend into the ocean depths. The water was utterly beautiful here. A pale sapphire hue surrounded her as colonies of bright and colourful fish came to welcome her as she swam around. Slowly her descend drew her towards the ocean floor, covered by a multitude of colourful reefs. This was where she felt most confident, amongst the sea creatures in the silent, hidden world beneath the water’s surface. But Amber didn’t linger as her feet slowly propelled her further along the ocean floor towards a place not many others knew. A little cave underwater cave that she once showed to Akoni. Yet the sight she once left behind was gone. The empty, beautiful cave was now filled full of small black bags wrapped up in tight tape. Her eyes narrowed in the mask, shaking her head annoyed.
you’ve got to be fucking kidding me she thought to herself, frustration building up in her mind. She was over this, was over him and the drama that surrounded him. She wanted no part in this, especially using her spot to store...whatever drug they had this time! Furious, Amber didn’t think as she grabbed one of the black bags and swam back out of the small cave. Yet as she neared her own boat, something else had caught her attention. There was another boat there beside hers, one she didn’t recognise the underside of.
Great... She thought to herself bitterly, making her way back up towards her own boat.
Her head rose from the water’s surface, pulling the mouth piece out of her mouth and glancing up at her boat, Amber could see a few men on the other boat, although she didn’t recognise any of them. Biting down on her lip she swam up to the ladder on the back of her boat, starting to climb it yet before she could reach her boat a large hand extended towards her, offering help. Her brown eyes moved from the hand before her face, following the length of the arm and up to the face of the man before her. She couldn’t recognise him, although knew that his features were Japanese. His eyes were locked on her, a small smile on his lips. Amber instinctively dropped the bag she had picked up before taking his hand and climbing aboard, pulling off her mask.
“Care to explain why you’re on my boat?” Amber spoke first, surprising the man before her as she removed her diving gear in the most casual manner she could manage, despite the quick thumping of her heart. Her mind was racing with thoughts, possibilities, confusion.
“Only if you explain why you’re in my waters” The man replied, making Amber’s eyes narrow on the man.
“I’m sorry,” She retorted in the same casual tone, moving past him towards the helm of the boat. “But these waters belong to the state of Hawaii.” The woman spoke in a matter-of-factly tone, although that all changed when she felt the cold tip of a barell press against her back.
“Not anymore” The man suddenly whispered into her ear, making Amber’s body freeze seconds before a damp cloth was pressed against her mouth. She started to scream, trying to pull him away yet the scent from the cloth filled her lungs and before she knew what was happening, everything went black.
